Yes, unlikely as it seems, I've actually finished it! Go me!

The final chapter is up to FF.Net and in the Files section of the Memory Alpha group.

Of course, the tale doesn't quite end here. There'll be at least one sequel: Kansas 2 - The Yellow Brick Road, and if that proves to be too long again, maybe even another sequel: Kansas 3 - Magic Shoes, in which our heroes finally get home. We'll see how things develop. I've long given up the fruitless efforts to control my muse. She's the boss here.

Anyway, it was a pleasant experience, and actually finishing something is always a relief. Even if I'll have to face the sequels. *g*

Addendum:
Hard to believe, but I've actually finished the story for the Edhellond Xmas challenge as well. My, but the muse has been industrious! And I actually managed to write a Dwarven Yuletide story, complete with a wedding and an opera performance. *g*

No, it won't be posted until shortly before Christmas. It is a Christmas story, after all. Besides, it'll take almost as long to type up the whole thing. It's 10 hand-written pages long, but it'll be longer in electronic format, I guess.

I really enjoyed this story, Soledad. I don't usually like crossovers but this one was believable and enhanced both universes.

I'm glad you liked it. Personally, I love crossovers - the only fandom I don't write them is the Tolkienverse. But all of my sci-fi and vamprie stories are either AUs and/or crossovers. Bringing two different, though somewhat similar universes together is a challenge I simply cannot withstand.

Unless it comes to Tolkien, that is.
