... as Sam Gamgee would put it - according to Larner's stories, at least. My stupid digestion kept me up for an hour in the middle of the night; apparently, that apple cake wasn't baked through properly. I wonder how Mum could eat it without consequences. She's clearly the tougher one of the two of us.

Then we had the usual bi-weekly cleaning, which meant I didn't have much time for anything creative. At least I've finished the page base of Janka's castle puzzle page. Now I can fiddle with the small details for the next week or so.

But first I had to go for a food run, as we had barely any bread, milk and yogurt in the house. We also needed some apples and bananas. While I was in the middle of the shopping, my friend Evie called to tell me that the strawberries we'd ordered arrived a day earlier and were now waiting at school for us to fetch them. Needless to say that the school is in the opposite direction from the supermarket I was doing my shopping. Fortunately, our other friend, Eenie, who had also ordered, offered to pick up my strawberries as well and deliver them to me. She has a car, while I haven't.b

So Eenie came, and we had coffee and apple cake together, had a little chat, and then she left. By that time I was so tired I fell asleep over my crossword puzzle. *g*

So, it was a busy day, but at least things are done for now and I can rest a bit and look forward to the re-runs of the GBBO. ;))
