Oh, bother

Last time my stupid digestion allowed me an almost five-week-break. Now it left me a mere eight days of peace. Today it was back to yogurt, toast, bananas and boiled potatoes. *sigh*

On the other hand, I've made modest progress with the quiet books. Book #1 is almost fully bound, only the back cover binding is left, and I've started with the spine of Book #2. I had to undo a good part of both book spines because they didn't turn out as I wanted them to be, but that's something I've grown used to.

Other than that, I felt a bit under the weather and was lazing on the couch, reading fanfic, for half the afternoon. Then I took Mum out for a walk, talked to Elise and Eenie on the phone, and now I'm back to reading fanfic and playing Solitaire.

Today hasn't been a good day. Thankfully it's the evening and tomorrow it shall get better!

Thanks. It wasn't particularly bad, just annoying. It's partially my own fault — I should have hold back a bit more with those Quartaschen, and probably eating up the 4-day-old salad wasn't such a good idea, either. Twenty years ago I wouldn't even have made thoughts about what I ate — and look at me now, I'm an old hag with a sensitive stomach!

4 day old salad is an enemy that's hard to beat for anyone I think!

We're both getting older, I guess. That, or the stress or the long-term results of the Covid vaccination (I had Sputnik twice and one Pfizer)... or a combination of those.

Perhaps. It looked and tasted okay, though, and I was taught early on not to throw out food unless it has gone bad. A childhood spent in rather unromantic poverty can result in such things.

Look on the bright side. Is there one? You're not going to put on weight.

There´s an iron rule in our house now- two days for cooked things in the fridge, four for unpacked cut and cheese. All is well since then with our digestive system... It is as you said- getting older comes along with a sensitive stomach.

There is never enough sleep under the sun. There are always so many other things to do. *sigh*
