Well, officially it ends tomorrow, on the feast of Candlemas, which is when we usually take down the Christmas tree. But I overslept today a bit (all 12 minutes of it or so) and decided to postpone the food run for tomorrow as a result. So, in order to do something productive today as well, I took down the artificial monstrosity and stored it away in its cardboard box until next year.

Afterwards I felt inspired to make another page to the baby book and realized that I've made one page base more than I'd need. Ah, well, the intricacies of a distracted mind! This means I'll only have to make one more page, then the binding and the decoration of the covers, and I'll be done! Yay!

For your viewing delight, here are pages 6 and 7:

And the same pages with their respective flaps opened:

The quality of the book is a bit uneven, but this is the best I can come up right now - before I'd start on the originally planned baby book that I've come to call The Thing of Beauty (TM) and that doesn't have an intended recipient just yet. Which means I can take my time with it and re-do things that don't work out until I'm fully satisfied.

What does the Hungarian text say?
It's such a funny looking language, I have to say ...

Your books always look beautiful, so I cannot imagine what the TofB will be like. Whoever receives it will certainly be blessed.

I have to admit that our tree had to go almost two weeks ago. But I did put the bubbles away only today... Another Christmas season gone...

Well, you see, the problem is that my taste about beauty and good thing differs greatly from that of the majority (or else my stories would have more readers and actual, enthusiastic reviews). So, just because I think it will be the Thing of Beauty, other people might not see it that way.

It is very different from the Western languages, that is true. The quote is from the rock opera about our first king, St. Stephan, and roughly translates as "Fly on the light wings of the wind". It does lose a lot in translation, though.

Your books are just wonderful — such treasures.

I put the last, forgotten, decoration away today, for Candlemas. Fittingly it was a container full of baubles and lights.

So wonderful that you do the baby books, and that you have so many babies to do books for!
