I had a busy day again. I went to the Savoy Park shopping centre because they have an international newsagent, where I can buy German crossword booklets - which I did. I bought a German one with mixed crosswords and a Hungarian containing exclusively the kind of crossword puzzles where every letter is represented by a number and you have to figure out which is which. Those two will bring me through the winter.

I also did the food run in the Auchan supermarket, since I was already there, and bought some stick-on jewels at Kik.

Coming home, I baked Spitzbuben, which still need to be glued together by jam. Since half the day was over, we ate leftover soup with sandwiches. Yum! We then watched Kirstie's Homemade Christmas, which we like almost as much as we like the GGBO, then I had a 57-minute-lang phone chat with my friend Evie. That about took care of the rest of the afternoon. I got to solve two crossword puzzles, though, one from each booklet.

Evening plans include the GGBO Christmas Masterclass and finishing the Spitzbuben. We'll see if the latter will happen.

Sudokus are the horror for me. They have numbers! And you have to count, which is light years beyond me. I never managed to solve a single sudoku in my entire life!

Intrigued to see your Spitzbuben, they look like what Brits would call a jammy dodger!

Not the current ones, but they'll look just like these, only with a cherry on top.

It does sound like, mainly, nicely busy. But busy. I hope you enjoyed sitting still and watching the GGBO Christmas Masterclass.

I used to love Kirstie's Homemade Christmas. The sweaters fascinated me and the cakes were true works or art.

Oh, yes! I love Mary Berry, and watching Paul Hollywood kneading dough is one of the sexiest things on this planet. *g*

I'm not so much into the sweaters, although that medieval one was really interesting. Haven't caught the cakes yet... unless you mean the gingerbread houses which were spectacular indeed. I particularly liked the old gentleman who braided those straw ornaments. Straw ornaments are cool.
