The Great Christmas Baking Frenzy 2021

Below is the list of cookies I intend to bake for Christmas this year. I'll keep up this sticky post until I'm done and will change the names of the cookies already baked to coloured bold font as I go. (When it says new, it means I'll bake those for the very first time, so wish me luck!)

So, here is the plan:

The recipients so far are: 10 different families (those of my ex-colleagues and friends), plus 3 neighbours... and counting. Plus ourselves and any visitors who might be able to drop in.

Wow, that's quite a list!

On another note, sorry for the lack of comments, I've had a busy few weeks. Dear husband is still recovering from surgery and helpless, and my son needed an elaborate Halloween costume which I managed to finish at the last minute.

I did catch up on reading your postings. Your angels and stars are lovely. I thought those a bit of work till I saw your Christmas baking list. I am flabbergasted! I recently had to bake brownies (from a box mix) for my son to bring to his law study group. I went through 3 boxes of brownie mix before I got a batch that looked right. Lesson learned, only bake one pan at a time in my teeny oven. After all that, he took credit for the baking, lol. Now, his group wants him to make caramel brownies from scratch, which of course he cannot do. Nor can I, for that matter. Anyway, serves him right, haha.

I forget how much you love to bake, and the frenzy you go through at Christmas time. Your neighbors, family and friends are very lucky to be on the receiving end of such an undertaking! Hope all goes well.

Amen. Aside from dedication and ingredients, baking requires a great deal of luck, too.

I hope your husband is going to make a full and speedy recovery. That Halloween costume must have been hard work, too. I couldn't sew anything bigger than a handkerchief or a plushie for my life, and certainly not any kind of clothing.

I'll consider it, but I can't make any promises. They are mostly in German, some of them in Hungarian, and my baking vocabulary in English is fairly poor.
