This and that

We had the big, bi-weekly cleaning frenzy today. Fortunately, our cleaning lady has somewhat recovered, so I didn't have to do it all by myself; besides, cleaning the windows includes climbing into a ladder, which I can't do anymore.
Have I mentioned lately how much I despise housework?

I made a quick food run afterwards, since tomorrow will be another busy day. Mum volunteered to cook something really simple, so I didn't have to bother with that today.

The positive aspect of the day is that I might figured out a functionable framework for "Charmed into Darkness" (you know, the story with lots of sex and violence, hehehe). I think I might re-shape it into a very AU Season 4, while including it into the settings of the "Pathways"-verse. It might actually work. Yesterday and today I worked on a comparative timeline and I'm beginning to hope that it would come together, eventually. *fingers crossed*

I loathe housework, so can relate. Now that we’ve successfully moved house (and wasn’t that a nightmare ordeal!), I would like to initiate a regular housework plan so that things don’t get so out of hand. You know, regular dusting and vacuuming so that it’s not so arduous, regular mopping etc. Still, I loathe housework, I am totally with you.

Bi-weekly as in twice per week or every 2 weeks? Seems like a lot for windows either way. I think... I have personally cleaned my windows once. Or cleaned individual windows once in er...30 years or so... but only because they were visibly dirty. I think I got a window cleaner in once... when I was selling my house.

Maybe re-jig the various cleaning tasks to occur less frequently so they can be entirely covered by the cleaning lady?

I wasn't clear enough, it seems. Big flat cleaning happens every 2 weeks. Window cleaning te ice or three times a year. Tha's was necessary because of the renovation work. The cleaning lady does most of the work, I just help moving things out of the way, but last time she was Ill and I had to do everything on my own.

When hubby retired the first thing he did was cancel the cleaning lady. Too expensive, he said. She did take 15 Euros then for one hour of work. Of course, it´s now hubby who has to do the housework I despise, like vacuuming (makes me sneeze like mad, so I do the mopping up only) or cleaning the windows. Only in emergency cases the lady will show up. She now takes 20 Euro for one hour of cleaning., more than the one number two has for housecleaning. Funny thing is that she does not even have to pay for the drive, because she practically lives a few doors away. I admire that you still have left energy enough for writing!

Well, TBH it's more background work than actual writing. I've cobbled together part of the timeline and managed to include it into the main "Pathways" timeline, but it still isn't finished — not to mention that I need to do lots of research on "Charmed" because I've only seen the first couple of seasons, back when they were first aired on German TV, which was roughly 20 years ago... or more.
