More craftiness and a lovely surprise

I worked on the inside of the front cover today. This is the result:



The large tag (in the frame) says: This little one is heaven-sent. The small one in the right corner says: Welcome.

As for the lovely surprise, the most generous badly_knitted sent me a sizeable package of lolly sticks. 100 pieces, in 6 different colours. I called my friend Evie at once to tell her about it. We can't wait for our long-planned crafting session together. Yay!

Otherwise, it's still frigging hot, but perhaps not quite as bad as yesterday.

It is a very beautiful cardstock pad I used here. Originally, I planned to make a baby book with lots of animals, since I. is — well, was, she's retired now — a biology teacher. But then I found these papers that fit her very nature so well, and changed the concept halfway. I hope the contrast won't be too jarring in the end.
