I've finished the front cover of I.'s baby book. Look:

The tag in the middle says: "What a miracle this tiny baby is".
I also talked to I. on the phone but haven't told her about the book yet. It's supposed to be a surprise, after all.

Other than that, it's very hot at the moment: apparently 38°C or so. Not that I could make any difference when it's gone beyond 35°C. We decided not to cook today and ate leftovers. And ice cream. The latter is necessary for my popsicle project, after all.

And the frigging gnats are breeding like crazy. I look like a lunar landscape from all those gnat bites... just in pink. Bleh!

Arrgh, sympathies on the mozzies. I sleep under a net in summer but I've been painting right into the evening with the windows all wide open and a few snuck in and have bitten me. Something (a horsefly?) bit me on the leg when I was gardening and the swelling and inflammation was so horrendous I wondered if I would have to go to A&E. (I took photos it was so disturbing!)

Bloody (literally) things!

Right now we have a bit of wind, so it's slightly better.

Bloody things indeed. And I have such a sensitive white skin, every bite gets double-sized...

Gnats are horrible, and I don't even get bitten by them. I just hate walking through clouds of them.

Ouch! We have a gnat problem here also. Supposedly, they like a humid environment and will go away once the heat arrives. We've had record rain amounts, therefore record Gnats. The heat is here now, but the Gnats have not realized that yet — sigh. Their bites hurt.

They do. And we've had mostly very hot and very dry weather, and the bloody things have been here all the time. Grrrr!
