I didn't think I'd be able to write today. At all. I got up tired and listless, and the monotony of the day didn't help, but somehow I've managed to grab the muse at the lapels and wrangle her into obedience.

Therefore I've managed what turned to be the first part of the final chapter of "The Toreador Chronicles" and posted it to AO3 and to [livejournal.com profile] hiddenrealms. I also wrote the first half of the actual big finale and am 4 pages into the (hopefully) very last chapter. Yay!

Not much else happened today, save for the slightly depressing news that the bi-weekly cleaning frenzy will happen this Friday already, instead of next Monday, due to schedule problems. Joy. Sometimes I get the impression that all we do is scrubbing this dratted flat, and it's never properly clean anyway.

I talked to two friends on the phone: to an ex-colleague who's also retired, and someone from the school choir, Eenie. We agreed to have some time together the day after tomorrow; let's hope that we actually manage to do that. I'm in serious need to see people outside of this house.

Meeting people outside the house is what we all are in need of. And we have to be quick, before they decide to tighten the covid rules again!

I am crossing my fingers that it will work out for you to see your friends.

Congratulations in your writing success. Well done.
I hope you get to see some people outside the house.
I hate cleaning. We had a cleaning frenzy on the weekend, and the house finally looks almost decent. My sister did the hard work, wonderful woman that she is, and my lovely son helped out outside and did some vacuuming and I’m still sore and aching from the cleaning frenzy.

Glad the writing's going well!

I have a couple of ex-workmates I really really want to catch up with, but what with their scedules, mine, and the current restrictions, it's not easy :(

True. Which is why another friend of mine and I tentatively scheduled a get-together for the week after the next. We need to use what little time is given us.

Thank you. I really miss them terribly. I'm a person who actually likes to sit at home and putter around, but this has been waaaaaaay too long!

Cleaning is evil! Unfortunately, a necessary evil.

Well, there's nothing I can do about it. Mum's the boss, and she has this tic about scrubbing the flat all the time.

No, it isn't. All the more pleasant when it gets together from time to time.

Hope you and your friends get to have a wonderful day together! Congrats also on your writing progress, makes up for the crappy day, I am sure. Cleaning, yeah, I feel the same.
