As it had been predicted, it is very hot today. So I did my sorry excuse of cooking in the morning (couscous with grated carrots and apples, lime juice and maple syrup - we pretended that it's a salad, though perhaps adding cinnamon wasn't the best idea) and didn't do much afterwards.

I've tried my idea about applying some glitter to tiny cardboard stars with the help of wet glue... and with mixed results. Perhaps I'll give acrylic paint a try next time. I also did some more popsicle item drawings into my exercise books; I'm at #15 now and much, much more to go. At least this doesn't require any higher brain functions, which I don't really possess at the moment. And the drawings will come in handy when the actual crafting begins.

Writing-verse I wasn't very successful. I've tried to bring the plot over to the next scene, but I'm not entirely content with the about 3 or 4 sentences I actually wrote. I might strike them through entirely and try a different approach. We'll see.

At least I had some very nice chats on the phone, with my friend Evie and with H., Little Emma's grandmother. Alas, the girl is still (or again) down with some stubborn cold that doesn't want to go away. Poor thing, but I hope she'll recover sooner rather than later.

18 degrees at the moment, and the third thunderstorm of today´s weather kitchen raging itself out. I understand that many children here have gotten a cold here, because such extreme drops in temperature are hard to stomach. But colds during heat? Must be because of some fans or aircons!

No, it's actually her big brother bringing home all kinds of germs from kindergarten and sharing them generously with her.

That couscous dish sounds more like a dessert!

As I said, the cinnamon was a mistake.

The couscous sounds like a really nice salad — although I think I would probably agree with you about the cinnamon.

It reached the not-at-all dizzy heights of 19C here yesterday, and I don't think it is going to be any warmer today. But the sun is shining and there is not a lot of wind, so it is quite pleasant.

My writing was about 200words that I then deleted :(

Hope the weather improves. So far, it has been a wet summer on my end. I miss the sun.
