A hot, hot day
Jul. 7th, 2021 05:52 pmAnd tomorrow promises to be even hotter. So I didn't set a foot before the door (save for taking out the rubbish, but for that we don't have to leave the house, thankfully), and all the cooking I did was boiling some potatoes for Mum's lunch. We still had soup from yesterday and I simply ate a sandwich, myself.
I did do some more drawing, though (popsickle craft ideas), and I wrote another scene for the ongoing last chapter of The Toreador Chronicles, which is my
picowrimo project. I'm fairly pleased with my progress and hope very much to finish the story during this pico season. After 16 years, it's high time, I say.
I had a nice, long phone chat with my friend and (ex-)colleague, Erna, who's our art teacher. Too bad that she lives outside the town, and it would take too long to hop over. I still don't dare to leave Mum alone, unless it's absolutely necessary; and besides, I'm trying to avoid mass traffic as much as I can, now that masks no longer are mandatory.
Today will be football evening again. For all that I don't even like football, I quite got caught in it this year. Another sign of Covid-related deterioration, I guess.
