Today was a somewhat busy day. I had a food run in the morning (and also dropped in to Pepco to buy some of the horribly kitschy hard felt that had unicorns riding rainbows on it; little girls like unicorns, and besides, the rest of the package was very useful, not to mention cheap), after which we finished returning things to their places after yesterday's cleaning frenzy.

Heat wave has hit us again; they predict 38°C for Thursday, after which temperatures are supposed to drop again. We'll see. In any case, I managed to write a bit between the slave labour and the arrival of the physiotherapist. Then we ate leftovers, and I ventured into crafty places a bit. Meaning that I began to draw the popsickle items found on Pinterest into an exercise book.

I decided to make two to four drawings each day this month. It will take a long time until I'll have all the ones I might want to try, but then I'll have the exact measures, the numbers of the popsickles and the extras down for use, which will make the process so much easier! My friend Evie is planning to do some popsickle crafting with me; so I'll just put out my exercise book and we can choose which item to make.

Then I've typed up the newly written parts, saved some more YouTube videos and Pinterest pins re: popsickle craft, and put up the daily [livejournal.com profile] picowrimo post. Then I'll read some and play some Solitaire, up to 8pm. At which time I'll go offline to watch TGBBO and the Euro2020 game, respectively.

As I said, a busy day. *g*

When it is anything above above 25C all I want to do is lie in a heap — I admire your productivity.

I don't like moving around in this heat, either, but things need to be done, and I can't expect Mum to do them, can I?

The popsicle crafting sounds really great, although there's nothing great about those temperatures. I really love the old-fashioned idea of a book and I like to have things in books. The advantage to taking a book places when it's down time from electrical devices is nice too. Planning and plotting and drawings of projects always are easier in a physical book. I'll look forward to seeing the fruits of your labours!

I'll post pictures, of course, once there'll be anything to post.

I always plan out my bigger projects in an exercise book meticulously; even though the results are often different. But I need something to build on. I always write down everything by hand, too, before typing up the stuff and putting it up in an online archive. For me, words that haven't been written down on paper first don't even exist.

The idea with the exercise book sounds reasonable. Maybe I should start one, too! Because saving ideas on Pinterest is not good enough when I switch the PC on only in the evening and turn it off the moment I have finished entry to LJ.

Besides, things often unexpectedly vanish from the Internet. Which is why I took upon me the pains to make copious notes and even drawings to many YouTube craft tutorials that I wanted to try out.

Your craftiness has reminded me that I haven't done any sewing for a couple of days.

Sounds like you are making progress, a productive day is always nice as long as you don't over do it.
