I didn't do anything crafty today - taking a break, remember? - but I have rearranged the little cabinet over my desk. So, now I have within reach all the little jars (originally containing hand salve) filled with pearls, safety pins, small paper and felt ornaments, sequins and dozens of other things.

They used to live in the craft cupboard, and I had to stand up and walk across the room every time I needed something, and the things piled up on my desk continually, making actual work almost impossible. Now I just have to reach up, open the cabinet door and fetch whatever I need.

There were CDs in that cabinet; CDs I hardly ever use. So I piled them on each other, put the little jars on the piles, and it even looks good!

Other than that, it is still hot over here, but I had to make a food run in the morning because the milk I bought two days ago had a funny taste and we didn't dare to drink it. We had little apple pancakes for lunch; they were yummy and quickly made, so I didn't have to slave over the hot oven too long.

Yeah, such is my exciting life. But at least we're both reasonably healthy, and that's something one should be thankful for in these times. I have to remind myself of that whenever cabin fever threatens to overcome everything.

I'm impressed by your tidying. My craft room looks like a dry run for the apocalypse.

Haha, thanks. I hope the writing month will go this well; summer heat isn't helpful in that area of creativity.

Up until you need some of the stuff again; and the very piece you need is usually on the bottom of the pile.

I'm afraid the effects are usually short-lived. As I said above, the next time I'll need something it will most likely be on the bottom of the pile, so... But I need to keep up some semblance of order, since I've got so little storage space.

A smaller storage space has its advantages. All things in one place- you won´t have to look elsewere!

I like things organized, but yeah, they don't seem to stay that way long.
