... despite having accomplished a lot. Sometimes I'm just fed up with this house slave existence, the monotony and the feeling that I'll never be able to catch up with all the things that need to be done.

On the plus side, I've made two food runs, cooked (a somewhat disastrous) lunch, washed up several times and made considerable headway with the little paper owls, although not as much as I hoped to do. We also had a visit from the physiotherapist, took Mum down to the street to walk a bit, and the janitor finally fixed our kitchen sink. Or so we hope. We'll see how the repair holds.

On the minus side, I haven't written a single word for at least a week, and it's driving me crazy. I'm a writer, dammit, not a scullery wench!

And on a completely different note: I hate, hate, HATE the new look of Firefox. 'Nuff said!

Sorry you had a bad day.

I agree with you re: Firefox! I re-installed the previous version. Unfortunately in doing so, I clicked create a new profile by accident and lost all my bookmarks. Luckily, Firefox makes backups, so I was able to restore them. But, I resent all the time spent getting rid of what Firefox considers an improvement.

I don't like the smaller icons etc. but otherwise Firefox doesn't seem to look much different to me. Your comment about the scullery wench had me imagining you in a mob cap, with your sleeves rolled up and sporting a much stained apron.

Hugs to you! Life is not nice to you at the moment! I do not use Firefox anymore, I prefer chrome now.

I find I am using Chrome more often. (Mirasaui, who was too lazy to log in)

Unfortunately, I'm not technically savvy enough to do the same. :(

I'm such a techno-wheenie, I always use what somebody else has installed on my PC. I've got Firefox and an outdated Internet Explorer, but that's all.

I went back to Microsoft Edge a while ago, partly laziness and partly because Firefox had made it almost impossible for me to organise my favourites.

I really hope that Budapest will open up enough soon for you to feel safe going back to activities like choir, and your Mum is also able to get out now and again so you can enjoy coffee shops and the occasional meal out and feel less like a scullery maid.

The differences are minor — just enough to be bothersome.

Is Microsoft Edge any good? My PC has downloaded it automatically, without asking me if I wanted it or not, but I haven't dared to give it a try yet.

I find it pretty easy to use, and it lets me keep my favourites in folders, and will reopen the tabs I had last time and so on.

Chrome has its pros and cons, but it is quick, which I like very much. Of course, you still have to install an adblocker...
