I had my pain with this pattern, but I think the result is worth it. There are small mistakes; nothing serious, though, so I'm content.

This is the original pattern. However, a few years ago I made an easier version of it because I found it too complicated. This is the dumbed-down version:

Other than that, we had our monthly cleaning frenzy today, seasoned with a bit of Spring cleaning tasks, and my BACK button now refuses to work when I want to go back to the previously visited webpage. It works perfectly well when I'm typing things, though, so I must have unknowingly changed something in my internet settings. Any ideas what it might be?

Sorry, I am a total amateur when it comes to PC affairs. Still cannot change the size of my photos, because my keyboard refuses to type a 1. And it is not the key that does not work, because at other occasions it will type a 1 without problems.

Yeah, same computer illiteracy here...

It is so annoying, you know? These things happen out of the blue, without warning — most likely because I unknowingly touched some key combinations and have no idea how to undo it! Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

What a great design, I love the way the bird looks so light and feathery!

Which browser are you using? Has there been a recent update (do you get automatic updates by any chance?)
One thing that might work is clearing the cache.

You may be right, perhaps it's the browser. I don't have the problem with my slightly outdated Internet Explorer, only with Firefox. I do get automatic updates with that one. I mean, with Firefox.

What is clearing the cache and how do I do it?

Thank you! :) They seem deceivingly easy, don't they? But these kind of patterns require a great deal of attention and are easy to mess up when pre-punching the holes already.

If it's a automatic update that might have caused a glitch which firerfox would fix in a day or two--you wouldn't be the only one with the problem.

Here's how to clear your cache. (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-clear-firefox-cache)

Not sure it would help, but it won't cause any harm. It's simple and as you can see from the instructions you want to keep your site data, otherwise your log ins disappear.

You could restore default settings, but that's a little more involved. Keep it in mind if the issue doesn't resolve itself in a few days.

I don't think they look easy at all. I want to try my hand at such things again, I've only done one Christmas bauble, but I never seem to have the time. Too busy with other things, and I only have a few pricking stencils to work from. By the time I get them out and find one I think I can manage, my available time is gone.

Part of the problem is, I don't even have any pricking stencils. I just print out these patterns from the 'Net and try to figure out on my own where the holes are supposed to be. *sigh*

Thank you, I'll give it a try if the problem proves persistent. (Wow! What an alliteration! Go me!)

That would make it even harder!

I don't have any stencils with designs as elaborate as yours. I did buy myself a pricking pen and mat though. It made pricking the pattern for the bauble I did a lot easier.

Both are lovely! I cannot believe you prick the holes without a pattern guide, I would be totally clueless. This type of embroidery and the similar wire art amaze me.
