And that without actually doing much today. Well, I outlined the next 3 chapters of "Timescapes", which is at least something, but that's basically all.

I tried to call five different people today. Not a single one answered my call and no-one called back, either. So much about friendship, unless people want you to do something for them. *sigh*

I'm thinking of trimming my friendslist again. I've just realized that I missed out some really important posts because my flist is flooded with banalities. I wish there would be a filter that could regulate what kind of posts should show up and what shouldn't, it would be wonderful. I don't want to remove anyone; I haven't got that many friends, after all. But that's the very reason I wouldn't want to miss out on important posts.

I actually have a filter for important friends and when I have little time I only read these entries.

Can you teach me how to create a filter like that?

I hear that! I don't have a huge f-list myself but I find it hard to keep up!

I can do screenshots when I'm on the computer.

I hope you don't cut me.
A bunch of my friends have not been answering their phones at all lately, I'm not thrilled about this especially since I was trying to tell some of them about the surgery.

Of course no, are you kidding? Posts about my friends health and the likes are important!

My friend Evie did call back after all, which was a relief. When she doesn't answer the phone I'm always worried as she's had a rough couple of years, full of family and health problems.

The real problem is not to miss the important posts among all the trivia.

I think there is something in the settings section to enable you to filter. I don't have many friends here, so it doesn't take me long to read, but you lead a busier life than me.

Hugs. I'd go crazy without my cleaning lady. I wish one could easily filter content too, you can filter tags, such as you could block my contests posts.

Can't help you there, that's something I don't worry about as I rarely post, just comment. I stayed away so long I think most forgot who I was, and many who I remember faded away also.

Errr... not really. There are a couple dozens of people I only keep on my friendslist to keep tab on them, should they decide to post something after months or even years. They all live in different countries and I won't even have the chance to meet them in person (or meet them again, as things are right now), so this is the only connection.

A great many people left LJ, especially from the Tolkien fandom of old. I'm really sad that the contact broke as this was the only way to keep in touch, but you can't force people to care, I guess.
