A day basically spent with housework. Specifically, with cooking (me), doing the laundry (Mum), cooking for tomorrow (me), making cheesy buns because after tons over tons of sweet Christmas biscuits we really, really needed something savoury (me), and cleaning up after all those activities (both of us).

At least I managed to shoehorn in two crossword puzzles and a bit of writing. Better than nothing, I'd say.

My Good Thing of the day:
Several lovely comments from [livejournal.com profile] mirasaui and learning that she actually got my Christmas card. That makes 8 out of the 13 I sent abroad. Yay!

Edit: It seems that [livejournal.com profile] badly_knitted and [livejournal.com profile] aeris444 also got their cards. Ten down, three more to go - unless I've messed up the counting. *g*

It's been a quite busy week so far, except for Wednesday. I'm planning much laziness for tomorrow.

And they keep the little grey cells mobile. *g*
I'm trying to solving at least one in German and one in Hungarian every day.

Exactly.
I do a small one every day, but have gotten distracted by solitaire instead of the large ones. lol

I hear you! Solitaire is addictive - I play two or three different versions each day, as well as at least one mahjong. *g*

Sounds like a busy day but "nice busy", with lots of productive activities.
Funny, [livejournal.com profile] aeris444's Christmas card post was right above this one in my flist :D

I am having a day off baking :) Although I do have the recipe for your cheese buns, and some yeast, now I think of it. Maybe tomorrow.

There is always tomorrow. *g*

The good thing with these buns are that they're really quick and easy to make. I was done withing 40 minutes and grating the cheese was the thing that took the longest.

I have lots of days full of productive activities. Sometimes a bit too much of a good thing, but all in all I do like being productive.

Puzzles, games and playing the piano - all good for brain health. I also used to like putting together jigsaw puzzles, have not done one in years though, too much trouble to clear off the table and put it all back again.

I've got the same problem with my crafting. I've got so very little space, so I have to dig out every needed item or tool from the unfathomable depths of the corner cabinet or the desk drawers (all very deep) and, of course, whatever I might need at any given moments, it's in the hindmost place. So, after having finished the crafting for a day, I spend thrice as much time with putting everything back into its place... and at the next time everything begins anew. *sigh*

I got you lovely card today, BTW. Mum was amazed by it, too. I'm glad that you've found your way back to playing the piano. I haven't played for decades, literally, and was never particularly fond of it - always too impatient and/or too busy with other things to practice properly. A shame, really, since I had to take lessons for ten years in my misspent youth!

I like being productive too, though I do have a tendency to over-do it and not notice it unless I'm really exhausted.
