Advent, Day 11
Dec. 11th, 2020 07:16 pmI overslept today. Not that I'd have had anything more important to do, but I was very tired from the recent couple of days, so I indulged. I slept an hour and a half longer than I usually do. It was glorious. *g*
Then I washed my hair, which was overdue, and did the usual food run after breakfast. I ran into a few neighbours, which slowed me down considerably, but that's okay. I didn't have any big plans for today.
After lunch I decided to prepare the ingredients for tomorrow's baking frenzy. It took me almost two hours, since my friends Erna and Elise called me in the middle of it... very pleasant interruptions, I'd say. Elise told me that her granddaughters loved the little drawstring bags I gave them and decided that those were best used for keeping their socks and panties in it... the ones they keep at Grandma's anyway, for emergencies. The older one clearly has a very practical mindset. *g*
Now our kitchen looks like a bakery again, waiting for me to start with the frenzy in the morning. The next chapter of Elvenhome has been posted to AO3, I got another review from
jilba, and my friend Sandy sent me an e-mail, telling me how much they love their cookies. Now if only my back would stop hurting, I'd be a very happy camper indeed.
My Good Things of the day:
- talking to my girls (beats everything each time);
- hearing from
jilba again (it's so wonderful when old friends resurface).
