Not much happened today. It's been raining all day; it was a delight to make the food run in romantically falling rain - NOT! So I decided that I won't even make the obligatory second round. I'll have to ration my mineral water or drink tap water when I run out of it.

Since only senior citizens (aged 65 and beyond) are allowed in the shops between 9am and 11am, my entire morning went down the toilet. I was accordingly pissed off and tired afterwards, so we ate leftovers and I didn't do anything in particular today. Well, save for posting the next chapter of "Elvenhome" to AO3, which I've just finished.

My Good Thing of the day:
Despite the steady rain, the balcony hasn't leaked so far. My fingers are firmly crossed that it stays that way.

What's the temperature like? So many bods have been posting snow pics, it seems you have escaped with more mugginess?

Some more news on "our man in Brussels" it's reached the UK national newspapers... fruity stuff. 😂

There's a lot of mockery going on over here, too. Including about how Santa will have to make some effort re: chimney climbing to outdo his performance.

I got let in the grocery store yesterday during senior hours even though I'm a lot younger than that because there were hardly any people in there anyway.

Your card and little gift arrived. They are both beautiful and I am in awe of the delicate stitching.

I had no such luck. A grim-faced security guy was standing in the door, with his phone in the hand and no-one was allowed in until it was time. Even though the supermarket wasn't particularly full.

At least the time slots for pensioners are reasonable in your country! Here you´ll have to be up early- tibetween seven thirty and nine. Since I retired I haven´t been up before eight. Way too much fun to read in bed without having to hurry!

Over here, seniors can get any time they want! The time slot just forbids everyone else to go between nine and eleven. And since I'm pensioner but not old enough yet (still have eight months till the official hag age), I had to turn my daily routine upside down. It's very inconvenient.

That's a choice time slot allocated to seniors. Over here, their time is 6-8 or something like that - early hours and that is only twice per week - Tue & Thur.
