Today was "use up all the rests"-day.

Firstly, I baked Dreikönigskuchen - a wreath of sweet yeast dough, with lots of candied fruits and rum-soaked raisins:

Then I made the last four Christmas cards, using up the pre-cut pieces:

Tomorrow I'll go to school and drop off my cards and small gifts before our government in another bout of glorious ideas suddenly decides to close the schools, too.

Other than that, I wrote a bit for Chapter 11 of SD5 and replaced the... thing that allows me to plug my computer, my screen and my speakers into the same... thing, because the old... thing unexpectedly died on me. Now I'll have to replace the replacement next week because we need another... thing for the vacuum cleaner. Yeah, being very scientific, I know. *sigh*

BTW, I've just talked with Elise, she's reasonably well and hopes to return to work next week, when quarantine is over.

I have been making cards - they are very simple ones - yours looks really pretty.

Good to hear Elise is doing okay.

Glad Elise is okay.
The bread sounds good.
Hey, if 'thing' works, then use thing. I do stuff like that all the time. lol

These four were a bit hastily put together because I want to give them away tomorrow, but I was really content with the other ones.

And yeah, I'm happy about Elise, too. She's firmly planning to come back to work as soon as the quarantine is over. Although she admitted that resting a bit wasn't so bad, after all. :)

I'd say hop over, but with the current restrictions that's hardly possible. :(

I've got your card today, BTW. Thank you so much!

Wow, I expected it would take a couple of weeks.
I only posted it on Monday.

Then mine might reach you before Christmas when I post it next week.
It's all your fault, you know. You should have asked. Quite a few people did, and I can always spare one more for a friend. *g*

Edited b/c I always hit the Send button before finishing a thought. *sigh*

The truth is, I don't even know what some of these tech parts are called in Hungarian, leave alone in English!

I hate it when the 'things' break because, how do you go into the store to buy a replacement? "Can I have a thing, please?"

I usually take the broken thing with me and ask for "something like his". Or I walk around the supermarket until I find something similar. :)

The Dreikönigskuchen looks delicious and the cards are lovely! So glad to hear your friend is on the mend from the virus, hope everyone else in her family does as well.
