Staying home can be exhausting, too

We had an appointment with our chiropodist lady today, which is always tiring because she talks a lot.

Before her arrival, I made some more doll heads. Five done, three more to go, and then I'll have to dig out the dreaded glue gun. *shivers*

While she was working on Mum, I made lunch: Mary Berry's pasta chicken bake, which is yummy and filling but has quite a few steps. She states that it can be done in 30 minutes - clearly, my time management has a lot to ask for. Even though I've prepared the meat yesterday and made various steps at the same time. But it was yummy, and I won't have to cook again in the next two days.

In the afternoon, I wrote about two pages for Chapter 10 of "Sleeping Dragons 5". I'm content with my progress so far; of course, the complicated parts are still coming.

Then I had a phone call from my fellow retiree, Ilonka. It was nice.

And now it's raining again. Grrrr!

It sounds like a really nice day - except for the rain!

I had to laugh, thinking of the chatty chiropodist. A little chit-chat is always nice especially in these isolation days, but she must be quite the chatterbox. I would find that tiring too.

Good luck with glue gun. I always wind up burning my fingers or tipping the stupid thing over and glooping hot glue where it doesn't belong.

Mary Berry's pasta chicken bake sounds like my kind of comfort food, wonderful. It's so nice to have a pan full, so you can enjoy some non-cooking days.

Good going with the writing! I applaud your productivity!

And yay phone calls. I actually had one too, this morning. So nice to get caught up with an old friend.

The problem is that most of the time she can't work and chat at the same time!

As for the rain, we pray that it'd stay nice and mild, so that the balcony would be able to remain dry. *fingers crossed*
I have no problem with rain, per se - as long as it keeps outside the flat!

Wow, I couldn't imagine making something and eating it for three days straight. I know a lot of my friends do. I try to cook just what we will eat. If there's anything left over, I freeze it for a future lunch. We have very different styles of cooking, I suspect. Sorry it's raining again.

We have weathered the storms, so to speak. Hurricane season is supposed to end in November, however, the ocean keeps churning them out. We are keeping a wary eye and hoping Eta, the latest, plays nice. So far, we are not in the picture for it.

I go to my chiropodist in her office, fortunately it is at walking distance from my home which means I get a walk at the same time.
