It's been raining for days.
The dratted balcony has been leaking since dawn.
I'm so sick and tired of not being able to get it fixed!

At least I met some of my (ex)colleagues at school and got the chance to talk to them a bit. Also, one of them gave me a lift home again, which was very nice, considering that I had all the shopping with me and probably would have had to hold my umbrella with my teeth otherwise or whatnot.

By the way, why can't I see any comments on LJ all of a sudden?
The number of comments is visible but the comments themselves aren't. Neither on my own journal or anywhere else.

Also, I can comment on someone else's journal but can't see my own comment afterwards, either. And it doesn't let me use any other userpic than the default one. Weird.

Edit: It seems the glitch has righted itself. Let's hope it stays that way.

In further "joyous" news, my cousin has just called. It appears that his current partner in in quarantine at home, having been exposed to Covid-positive students. Repeatedly. So we won't have a lift to the eye doctor, after all. We decided to take a cab; it isn't completely safe, either, but still safer than dragging Mum from one tram to another and then the third one. I don't care about the fare, honestly.

Huh, that's so weird! Hopefully it will sort itself out quickly.

Especially as we won't have that lift to the eye doctor, after all. (See above.)

odd. the only really bad glitch I've been having has nothing to do with LJ. Hulu keeps turning itself off every 30 seconds.

It seems to have righted itself, for the time being at least. I hope it will keep.

It's been a fucking monsoon in London since I arrived. The Soss is lucky to get one walk in the morning without being drenched, by afternoon the heavens have opened but some days it's pissed down all sodding day! AARGH!

Yeah, the same here. We're having the worst leakage since... I don't know when. *sigh*

I had the same glitch with LJ - which has cleared for me, now, too.

What a shame about your cousin's partner. I'd definitely get a taxi under the circumstances, too.

You could send some of that rain over here.

Too bad about the cousin.

This virus makes it virtually impossible to plan anything with any degree of certainty. Life is just so unstable.

I'm taking the lowest possible risks when Mum is involved. It's bad enough that we have to go to the practice to begin with.

Believe me, if I could, I would send it over.

Hope your cousin will be all right. Sorry about the balcony, my grandmother had a water leak near her bedroom ceiling fixture that they never could repair. It had to rain to find the leak, and no one would ever come out when the weather was inclement. A long time ago, I just remembered.

Yeah, I know. [livejournal.com profile] ithilwen used to have a similar problem with her house.
