Starting with the monthly cleaning frenzy today... even if it was only a moderate one. Moderate enough for me to sew a handful of sea creatures for Little Emma's quiet book, namely a crab, an octopus, a sea star and a jellyfish. Sewing on little patches of velcro, too. Fingerprints are raw again.

Tomorrow, I'll have to combine the weekly food run with fetching [livejournal.com profile] the_wild_iris's prezzie from the post office (diagonally opposite direction) with fetching the eggsies from school. At least I might get to see some of my friends. *fingers crossed*

Wednesday might be free, so I'm nurturing tentative hopes of getting some writing done. I so wish to finish the upcoming chapter of SD5...

On Thursday we are due to go to the eye doctor. Fortunately, Mum managed to talk one of my cousins (Little Emma's grandfater) into giving us a lift, which is a relief. The eye doctor's practice is at the other end of the city, and we'd have to change trams twice if we had to go on our own.

Friday means the other weekly food run. I'm also planning to do some more experimental cooking during the week, so it promises to be very busy indeed.

Quiet books (https://tinyfeats.com/blogs/busy-books/what-is-a-quiet-book) by definition are books made mostly of felt and allow pre-school kids to learn fine motor skills, colours, numbers, etc., while playing with the contents. I've already made one for the son of my goddaughter and for the granddaughters of my friend and colleague Elise. You can take a look here (https://hu.pinterest.com/ekunster/my-own-felt-work/my-quiet-books/). I assume they're called quiet books because playing with them can keep the kiddies, well, quiet. *g*

Edited 'cause I messed up the hand-coding, sorry.

Thanks. :) It will take some time yet to finish it, but I'll post photos, I swear, assuming that my various technical gizmos cooperate.
