End of week - again?
Sep. 4th, 2020 07:28 pmReally, how is it Friday again? I just can't catch up with time since I stopped working.
Anyway, the insurance agent showed up today only 15 minutes late - I don't understand how people can be so un-punctual! It isn't only rude, it is not really efficient, either. At school, we had to show up 15 minutes before the lessons would start, and we all managed it, even those who came from the other end of the city! Not to mention that the whole meeting was completely unnecessary, as we just checked the portfolio and left everything as it was. It still took another 40 minutes of my life no-one will give me back. *sigh*
Then Mum managed to take another fall in the living room - fortunately, just a minor one, she could get up on her own again and has been nancing around in the flat all afternoon. I was still scared for a moment.
While waiting for the insurance lady, I did a tiny bit of transcribing; not much, because my right thumb is acting up again. Not that I'd use it for typing (I type with 8 fingers, as a rule), but the tension in the entire right hand was a bit unpleasant, even with leaving the thumb out. It is a recurring problem that usually surfaces when I've sewed too much - which I haven't done for at least a month, so I don't know why is it back, but I hope it will go away, soon.
In the late afternoon I managed to talk to my friend Elise on the phone. It is her last year at school, then she'll retire, too. She's looking forward to it, as her third granddaughter is due to be born in October, so she'll be very busy as a three times Grandma, once she's stopped working.
