My friend Evie had to postpone her visit because of all the unexpected tasks Boss Woman has dropped onto her lap in the morning. We've agreed to meet tomorrow instead, unless school interferes again. I really, really want to do this before school would start in earnest, after which we'll mostly self-isolate again.

For the same reason, I won't rejoin the Oldies just yet. Also in my primary choir, I'll only participate the Tuesday afternoon practices, when the kids have mostly left the school, and colleagues, too. From the two choirs, this is the one that needs stable participants more urgently, as the Oldies are all eager and love to get together. I informed both choir leaders, I hope they won't be mad at me.

I used the morning to do some serious writing, as we didn't have to cook today. In fact, we won't have to cook for the next two days, either, as we've cooked in advance. We did the laundry, though, as we had to postpone it because of the cemetery visit on Saturday.

I haven't heard about my iPad mini yet. Tomorrow I'll give IT guy a call to see if it can be repaired at all. I miss the easy convenience it means very much. *sigh*

Oh, and Ozone TV no longer shows re-runs of "Money for Nothing". What a shame. At least there's still the GBBO to watch, different seasons on different channels. And "Forged in Fire". And the zoo reports on German TV. I'm not up to watch anything heavier at the moment.

Zoo reports? Like a behind the scenes thing?

Is choir practice allowed?
Here it isn't, unless you can have a distance of several metres between people - more than the usual 1,5 m, because singing produces more aerosoles.
So - which choir has a practice room big enough for that? Not my dad's!
Though they did have practice from the church choir last week - they used the entire church to space out people! ;-)

I've more or less given up on TV at present. With the social distancing rules it's difficult to film new programs and I'm not fond of reruns, unless it's something I really like. My Kindle is getting well used.

Something like that, yeah. German TV has several entire series filmed in the various zoos of their big cities that show how the animals are fed, treated if sick, how they're given things do do against boredom and taught simple commands, so that the vets can examine them without putting them to sleep... that sort of thing. I find it very interesting.

In our main choir (at school) there are usually 8-10 people present at any given practice (out of 30+). Usually, that can be a problem, but in the present situation, pacing 8 people in safe distance in a classroom for 30 or so kids is doable.

I don't mind re-runs if they are something I like. I can re-watch Star Trek (up to "Enterprise"), Stargate (both SG-1 and Atlantis), Babylon 5 and the likes many, many time. And the GBBO, which I'm watching for the third or fourth time already. It is still inspiring.

Yes! I love those shows. We have a couple of them on a few different channels. There's even one for an aquarium.

Hope you have a good visit with Evie tomorrow. Glad you at least got some writing done.
