I had two food runs in the morning. Then we were packing all day in sweltering heat. Mum even cooked for the next two days. So we're both well and truly dead on our feet. Now it's raining, which doesn't rise high hopes for tomorrow and the drying of wet rugs and carpets. *sigh*

But the lovely little needle book from [livejournal.com profile] elwenlj arrived today, so there was at least one bright moment in-between.

I'm pleased it arrived safely. I wish there was a solution to your balcony woes.

It went well enough, thank. Carpet cleaning guy and we are a well-oiled team of at least two decades. We can do this in our sleep. It is just exhausting.

So do I, believe me. But your little booklet is lovely, and I'm sure my friend Evie will be ecstatic to have it. I specifically asked for it for her - she's in sore need of many, many small moments of joy and besides, she never had a needle book before.

Alas, I have not. The night was way too short, and I woke up with a slight headache - stupid humid weather! It reminds me of the year I spent in the Netherlands; the weather was always like that. I never had so many headaches before or after.

Oh, now I'm happier than ever that the book has found a new home.

Evie and I have decided to do some crafting together as long as the virus situation allows it, so I'll see your book time and again, too. *g*

Wish you send send your weather my way, I'm used to hot and humid. I imagine the good news is that autumn is not too far around the corner.

Indeed, it is. The seasons are standing on their head.

Considering how odd the weather has been in all seasons so far, my hopes aren't high.
