Back to civilization!
Jun. 30th, 2020 06:34 pmMeaning that Mum and I finally got to the hairdresser's today. It took us half the day, as we had to take the roundaway path, due to the fact that the tram spurs are being repaired (like every dratted summer), and so the getting there part was a bit complicated. It was worth the effort, though, as we no longer look like a pair of particularly depressed Neanderthals around the end of a very long winter. Yay!
While Mum was getting her perm (I only ever have a haircut), I went to two of my favourite craft shops. Unfortunately, these are not the ones where I could have used my gift cards. But I enjoyed greatly spending a batch of money there.
Firstly, I bought this sheet of beautiful scrapbook paper:

For some nebulous reason it was cheaper than the similar ones in the supermarket - not that I'm complaining. *g*
Then, in the same shop, I found totally irresistible craft ribbons - for half the usual price! They still weren't exactly cheap, but tell me honestly, could I possibly have left them there?

I also bought an acrylic pen because the old one has run out and some felt and Dekorgummi sheats; the latter are the ones that look like frottee (or whatever it's called in English), and they are great for pencil holders.
I visited the Müller drugstore, too, but I restricted myself to items we actually needed, like new toothbrushes and the likes(*). All in all, I enjoyed my shopping spree greatly.
Getting home we were so drained that we decided not to cook today, so we ate leftover soup and sandwiches. And fruit, of course. You can never have enough fruit. I briefly talked to Enie on the phone, since she's turning 50 today, and watched some telly. It's still quite hot over here, but not unbearably so.
(*)... and some drastically price-reduced Lindt and Milka chocolate bunnies...
