My birthday cake

Without candles, right after it was finished:



With 6 candles, one for each decade I've spent on this planet:



The icing turned out a tad uneven, but at least it was nice and shiny, and the Sacher Cake was delicious. My goddaughter visited us with her mother and Baby Theo, and half the cake is already gone. So I am fairly pleased.

It is delicious - and quite filling, I must add. But actually, Sachertorte is one of the easier cakes to make, despite rumours on the contrary.

Thank you. :) The cake is very delicious indeed, even though somewhat on the heavier side. 150 gr dark chocolate in the dough is a serious affair.
