I got flamed...

for Out of Legends again. Rather rudely, I may add. Which, as far as someone not liking the story, is all right. I probably won't like the type of stories they prefer, either. What I don't understand, why do people feel the irresistible urge to be rude and to give a detailed description why they hate something that they - according to their own statement - could barely read half of. Why can't they simply hit the Back button if they don't like it?

Oh, I forgot - that would require a certain level of maturity. Oh, well. I happen to love "Out of Legends", myself. I'm quite proud of what I did with that story. Didn't even bother to read the flame to the end. I just wish it were an anonymous review - sadly, you can't remove signed ones, no matter how rude they are. I'll go and block the reviewer now. I don't have to put up with that kind of abuse, I think.

I just wish people who supposedly *like* my writing would be so eager to give feedback...

Flamers are strange creatures. They put so much work into writing up a review for something they hate! You'd think they'd rather spend the time reviewing something they actually love.

It makes you wonder whether there *is* something that they actually love - aside from their own view on world, fanfic and life in general.

Some people really do need to get a life. If one does not care for a story, one can simply sigh, groan, gag, barf, wash one's eyes out with bleach -- whatever makes one feel better -- then hit the "Back" button and move on with one's life, no? Why waste one's precious time and energy and (far more important to me) your time and energy on a belabored flame? Idiots.
