Random Torchwood thoughts

Saw a few pictures about John Barrowman's guest role in "Desperate Housewives", and I must admit that I like the new look. The different hairdo matches his actual age a lot better - he does seem aged quite a bit, but it's not a bad look on him. His face has lost that plastic-like quality... perhaps he's *not* allowed to use Botox while filming the series? Whoever forbade it him, it was a good idea.

Saw "Voyage of the Damned" and thus got introduced to the now-infamed Midshipman Alonzo - also known as Jack's new piece of ass, pimped by the Doctor himself. Wow, RTD must really hate both Jack (to force him to "forget" Ianto for this guy) and Ianto (to be replaced by someone like that). The character wasn't all that bad, actually... the new context is. But again, nothing RTD does to piss off the Ianto fans can surprise me any longer.

Watching "The Aliens of London" has spawned a brand new plotbunny: Tosh as a temporary companion for the Ninth Doctor, while Rose-bloody-Tyler is home, visiting Momma and trying to placate a rightfully angry Mickey. I've already figured out how and why I can get Tosh into the TARDIS, and I also know where the first adventure would get them: feudal Japan, courtesy of Carl Sagan's "Cosmos" series.

Now I'd need a good title (a "catchy" one, as Ianto would say) for the new series. Because "Toshiko Sato, Companion Extraordinaire" would be a but too long and way too unsubtle.

Any title suggestions for Dr. Who, Series 1.5, featuring Tosh as the Ninth Doctor's companion?

*Sigh* IKR? I was *so* disappointed (not to mention pissed off!) when RTD pulled that stunt with Alonzo! GRRR! I love Russel Tovey in *Being Human*, and yes I did like his character in the original Doctor Who ep ("Voyage of the Damned!") but this shoe-in pretty much killed the character for me :(

And I would SO love to see Tosh (pretty much my favourite character on TW and 9 interact!!

Btw, did you see the latest interview with JB? (At home with John Barrowman (and Scott)) I don't care about TW anymore, but he is just adorable..!XD!

No title, but I agree with Tosh as Ninth Doctor's companion would've been nice even if it was only for a few episodes.

I believe you had me at the words "Tosh" and "feudal Japan". I will have a quick look at my English-Japanese dictionary and see if I can come up with a good title :)

I googled for some JB pics and like the new look, too! I think that "plastic-like" look suited his role as immortal Jack Harkness, but he's even more handsome with his new look.

So, if I'm gonna write it, are you gonna read it? *g*

Thanks for the link, and I second the statement. For me, TW was over at the moment they uselessly killed off Tosh.

Erm... it seems I've got the ideas for 14 adventures, plus an intro chapter and an epilogue. *headdesk*
My muse never does things by halves.

Aww, thanks, that would be so great! They'll end up in Japan's past accidentally and get to witness the final defeat of the Heike warriors and the death of the child empreror...

With the plastic doll-face he looked like a mannequin for a boy. Now he looks like a man; a handsome one. Which is definitely an improvement, if you ask me.
