It's party time!
We had our "farewell to summer" party today - a bit late, as school's eco day was postponed to the end of September this year. We always hold this party on that particular day because those still working have to work on a Saturday, so that they would have December 24 free. And since I live fairly close to school, they can simply hop over after the programme.
We were 8 adults and a toddler altogether and had a grand old time. The bakes were very much appreciated, Alex and Elise even took some home, for their poor, neglected husbands. *g* Abel (the toddler) had his afternoon nap in my bedroom, in the company of my teddy bear, and Mum enjoyed the company enormously. We got coffee and chocolates and some spirits (it was also my birthday, celebrated a week and a half too early), and Evie brought us raspberries, blueberries and an assorted package of 15cm by 15 cm felts that she had once ordered but never used, so I feel enriched. ;))
Since I had to bake my savoury scones in the morning, there wasn't much time left for anything else. I made a few tiny little items, just so that I can state that there was some crafting done, despite everything, but that's all. It doesn't matter; we had a wonderful day.

Is Abel a common name in Hungary?
Funny enough my mum's maiden name is Abel. ;-)

And I wondered why you would bake such a huge amount of cake! School on Saturdays and on 12-24? Strange, very strange!

So glad all turned out well! Does your Teddy look like your icon? I have always loved that pic.
