The pictures I promised
Well, this is a larger box, with 10cmx10cm sides that can serve both as a photo album and an Advent calendar.
Let's take a look at the closed box first. The writing on top means "Merry Christmas" in Hungarian, BTW:

Now a glimpse at the inside (this is a single-layer box, for reasons that will become clear):

(Sorry for the uniform blueness of it; the actual colours are much brighter, but my iPad decided it didn't like the illumination. *sigh*)
The individual pockets. They are numbered for the Advent calendar function, but I only took a photo from one side as they are basically identical. I used the Chrome function when cleaning up the photo and now the colours are a bit too bright. It seems I can't get them right, no matter what I try. I used snippets from Christmas wrapping paper, by the way, and created the number tags by simply outlining a coin and cutting them out with patterned scissors.

And finally 2 almost identical photos of the finished box; on one the lid is shown from above, on the other one the inside of it, just for archiving reasons. ;))

Again, the colours all have a blue tint; my iPad likes blue, I hate it, but I can't trick the stubborn thing. At least it takes good, sharp photos of small things, something I never manage with a regular camera.

I use double-sided tape a lot, but peeling the backing strip off drives me nuts.

Sometimes you can get double sided tape where the backing strip is wider than the sticky tape to make it easier to remove.

I've got a perfectly good rolling blade cutter, but I always manage to lay in the sheet of paper wrong, so they never end up perfectly straight. I managed the same with the old-fashioned paper guillotines, too. Apparently, it's a personal talent. *sigh*

Oh, that's too bad. It should be universally available =(
