Domestic fun - NOT!

Okay, here is the deal. It all started with computer problems: my main PC was beaten by the lat est attemt of Norton self-update and decided that it doesnt like the Internet anymore, so if I switch it on, it kills the connection. As I don't want to reboot my modem every time, I am mainly using my laptop now. Which is also ages old, doesn't like Firefox and is slow as molasses. Clearly, I must invent in a new PC... assuming my neighbour can manage it before Christmas. *sigh*

Then my satellite receiver died on me. Attempts to deal with the situation have been made in the last, oh, three or four weeks. So far no results.

And then today my beloved new bed, a mere two years old, broke under me. Well, not the bed as such, only the wooden grid holding the mattress, but it is bad enough nonetheless. A carpenter friend offered to come over tomorrow and take a look. I hope he can help, because a new grid would be complicated to get and to install.

About minor yet annoying health problems I refuse to think at the moment. But they are there.

*hugs* What a lot of things to go wrong at once! (although it does often seem to be like that) Good luck in getting it all sorted out!

*hugs* As the English proverb says "when it rains, it pours". Hoping there is also some good news waiting for you :)

Oh my goodness, what a run of bad luck! I hope your carpenter friend can fix the bed and your IT neighbour help with the internet mayhem!

What a bunch of annoyances! I hope your friend can fix the bed, at least that would be one problem solved. Life can be a pain and full of unexpected expenses.

Sorry to hear about your troubles, that's a lot of things to go wrong a the same time. Hopefully your carpenter friend can fix your bed.

Ah crap. I hope things improve in your world both healthwise and housewise!

Oh, hell. That's an avalanche of worries. Hope it gets resolved - that the bed gets fixed, the IT guy works some magic, and things go your way! Good luck.

How irritating! I hope the bed is easy to fix and that the rest doesn't cause you too much grief to sort out. I sympathize totally!

Oh dear! Here's hoping this is simply a pre-birthday cosmic crunch and that things will be ever so much brighter and cheerier in the year to come! [hugs]
