Mum says thanks

I told her about all the support I'm getting from you lovely people, and she was really touched. I think she worries about me, how I'm coping and all that, since my so-called real life friends only surface when they need something from me.

She told me to thank you all, especially those she knows personally, but also everyone else who showed interest and sent good wishes, even though they don't know her.

So, this is me, delivering proper thanks in both our names. I'll update you about the situation as soon as I learn anything new.

She's a gracious and kind-hearted lady, one who obviously loves you very much - do remind her that we have been Good Thoughts and all the rest to her, too.
*hugs*

Will do, thanks. She's great indeed, and we are very close. Of course, it means that we sometimes clash rather spectacularly - we're just too different in many ways - but that doesn't make the love between us any less.

Tell her that although I have not met her (yet), I know she must be a good person from what you tell us of her and that is enough for me *smile*

Well, I hope it's still not too late for you to meet her. *crosses fingers*
Germany isn't so far from here, and young people are supposed to be mobile. ;)

You're most welcome, both of you. I echo all that the others have said about how loving and nice you both must be. *hugs tight*

Thanks, little sis.

That's great if your mum gets to be a little less worried. Online friends must be good for something, after all :)

I remember her being very gracious and polite and not laughing at how horrible my French conversation was.

Please let me know if there's any sort of gift she would like.

Good wishes to you both x

She told me afterwards that she realized just how much she'd forgotten about French. She didn't find your French horrible at all.

And online friends are great. At least mine obviously are. :)

I'm sorry that we can't be there to do anything in person, but we're definitely here, and thinking of you both.

[identity profile] wiseheart.livejournal.com 2009-08-21 09:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks. It's greatly appreciated.

It's wonderful if your mother's worries are relieved a little.

I hope that you really do find a little comfort in our cyber-hugs and all our good thoughts, sent from far away. *hugs*

Thanks, Lissa. I really do find comfort with you - your presence makes me a lot less lonely and frightened.

The Beloved and I are both delighted to know our support brings her comfort. If there's anything we else we can do from afar, you need only ask! Sending healing and comfort to you both...

[identity profile] wiseheart.livejournal.com 2009-08-21 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Healing and comfort are all we need right now. Give my regards to the Beloved.

The Beloved sends you the following message:

"Regarding your stories about a medieval village you sent some months ago, I apologize for not replying at the time. I recently re-read them and want to compliment you on the surprising level of detail in a number of the vignettes. I hope you find a place to publish them."

And I second his wish! Meantime, we'll keep you both in our thoughts.

That's so sweet of her! And it's just such a mother thing to do, isn't it, to worry about how the daughter is coping when she is the one who is sick.

Say hello to her from me and "get well soon!"

[identity profile] wiseheart.livejournal.com 2009-08-21 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Will do. I hope you'll get the chance to meet her yet - as I said [livejournal.com profile] makamu, Germany isn't so far away, and young people are mobile. I can always put up one houseguest, even though that's all the place I have.
