Both Mum and I remember fondly our trip to Cambridge, too, however. Especially as we got to meet you, Una and Andria; it was lovely. Mum still tells everyone about the litte café/bookshop/whatever you've shown us. Neither of us has ever seen anything like that before.

Speaking of holidays: I'll be in Budapest with my daughters from July 8th in the afternoon until July 9th in the morning, on our way by train to Istanbul. That, too might be a good occasion for a meeting, if you can bear the three of us together.

Don't worry about the girls; I face teenagers five days a week, remember? I'll be able to deal with two nice, well-bred young ladies, I think. ;)
Oh, it will be lovely to finally meet you! We've been planning this for years, but this it the perfect opportunity. We can plot a meeting in Amsterdam, then - we might have some free time from the group there.

I really ought to visit Germany again, one day. I've never seen Lübeck, for example. And only had a fleeting glimpse of Freiburg. And Nürnberg - I've never been there, either. And so on...

Mum follows me everywhere, the poor dear, she even manages to enjoy some of my hobbies, but she just doesn't get so much out of it as I do. My ranking dream is to become just wealthy enough so that I could spend weeks in France, revisiting the best places I've seen and see a few new ones I haven't yet. All medieval, of course. And definitely *not* during summer.
