The ways of fame

I've just discovered that "AnnĂºminas" has made it into "The Worst of the Worst LOTR Stories" comm on FF.Net. *g*

I'm so proud!

Of course, considering the fact that it's a Mpreg story, it's not surprising that some people would hate it on principle.

Twenty minutes after it had been recced, it already had the necessary numbers of refusal. ;)

Sorry for busting in here in this conversation, but... that is just silly! When did this happen? I know that they were pretty exclusive, some years ago, but *that*... *faceplam*

Of course, by now, HASA is not as exclusive, anymore; every story posted there will now at least be visible to the public. But to refuse Annuminas that quickly - I mean, *I* have posted *Mael-Gul* there, and I have some request for information about updates. Granted, it has no m-preg, and I have not yet dared to enter it for reviews, but well...

*Headmeetsdesk*

BTW: HUGS to Lethe!

I post on Aislynn's forum sometimes, as I follow her story and she is a really lovely person, and I like to show I support people I read in public, and others who post on her forum are very decent too

Awwww! Thank you! And you are very, very welcome, there. :)

I confess, I have fallen to the forum mania, a bit, last year. I need to spend more time again on the reading and reviewing of stories. However, FFN has always been one of the sites where I did most of my reviews. Quite a few authors I like still post there, and I do like the story update alert and the author alert feature. And as Soledad said, it is the one archive that allows one to post all the stories on has in many different fandoms at one place (except for NC-17, and script format, and, and , and). However, it has been sadly prone to drama and self-proclaimed fandom-police groups. during that last year. :(

No worries. This is an open conversation.

It happened in the early years of HASA, the first or second one, I no longer remember. I left the archive after the Big Fallout (TM) between Silmficcers and Anglachel, taking all my stuff with me, and never returned. It was a very ugly thing that hammered a wedge into the fandom for good, I'm afraid.

I see I have much to learn, yet, about fandom history. At that time, I was innocently hanging out on FFN and some other archives and had no idea of the Drama that was taking place elsewhere. Seems that there is no place anywhere that is safe from that, though. :(

You haven't missed a thing. As I said, it was very unpleasant.

No NC17 - nuff sed. 95% of what I read is well written mature, long, plotty NC17 slash ( like yours, Aislynn ). Seems they like to be nannies, but nannies which allow and encourage bullies.
