Blood & Chocolate - the movie
I finally got around to watch it - and I don't care what rottentomatoes, the movie snobs and the CGI-freaks say, it was a great movie. Of course, I never read the original novel, just a short summary at Wikipedia, so I'm probably biased.
I liked the cast very much. Olivier Martinez was extremely hot, as always, but he brought a savage streak to his character that was irresistible and repulsive at the same time. Aiden was cute, but not annoyingly so. And the female characters looked refreshingly natural, without the usual overdone make-up one sees in almost every other movie. Besides, I like Katja Riemann.
The sets were gorgeous. I liked how they did the transformation stuff, too, and what the loup-garoux looked in full beast mode. I liked that most charcters were morally ambigious - not entirely bad, but not exactly good, either. It was convincing.
I'm of two mind about the outcome, though. As cute as Aiden is, I just can't buy that he and Vivien could really have a future together.

I only hope Amy will find the time for a quick beta. People are always whining when one does make mistakes in a language not one's own, but when one asks for a voluntary beta, interestingly enough, the same people somehow never are interested. [/sarcasm]
I mean, spellchecker can only do so much for you, and no matter how many times I proofread, I tend not to notice the typos, as I have before my eyes what I intended to write, not what I actually did write. Ah, well...

Yeah, especially since wolves mate for life, don't they? But no movie can exist without the Ohmygod sexual tension, right?
Speaking of which, your new icon is rather... imaginative. *g*
