No, seriously...

Are you sure you want to know? Well, okay, but don't complain afterwards about the whining.

I think I ought to stop writing entirely. Or, at the very least, I ought to stop posting my stuff anywhere. Perhaps writing exclusively for my desk drawer will prove less frustrating - and more frustration is the last think I could use right now, considering what's waiting for me job-wise.

After all, I used to be perfectly happy writing for my desk drawer for, oh, thirty years or so. Why I thought it was a good idea to change that is sometimes unclear for me. Unfortunately, you can't really step in the same river twice, now can you?

Perhaps so. I can't help if I'm interested in more of Middle-earth than just a few characters, though. ;))

I did write some stuff about Faramir, but only on the sidelines. "The Young Knights" does feature 13-years-old Faramir, but I don't know whether you are interested in him at that age. The only time I write about Arwen was in "The Prisoner of Dol Guldur", and she only appeared in two chapters and the epilogue, which is my somewhat different take on her death.

I'm still struggling with the character of Aragorn. He used to be my favourite Man (well, after Faramir) when I only knew the Books. But I came to despise him after the movies so much that I still can't really deal with him. Perhaps in ten more years... if I live long enough. *crosses fingers*

Your just have to write what the Muses give you> I wanted to write stories about Aragorn,Eomer and Hobbits, but my Muses had other ideas!

I have the film DVds, but don't watch them and concentrate solely on the books nowadays. You only see Aragorn's dry humour, which I love there, and his compassion and great healing skills.

The same with me re: DVDs. If I watch them at all, I only watch certain parts, and fast-forward every scene Elrond, Aragorn, Arwen or Galadriel are in it. Or Éomer and Éowyn.

And those were characters I absolutely *loved* in the books!

Film Elrond and Faramir are my chief film hates as they seem to have hardly anything in common with Tolkien's characters of the same name.

No arguments here. I couldn't even read about Faramir for years, until I've managed to reconstruct him in my head. Currently, I'm seeing him as Orlando Bloom looked in "Kingdom of Heaven". That's how I was able to include him as an important player in "The Vault of the Dead".

Oh, lookie, that's really a story where I have adult!Faramir! I completely forgot about it, as it basically focuses on Boromir and the Dark Elves, but Faramir has a part in it, too.

I really ought to make a list of my stories and about which character features in which one. I'm getting confused myself. *g*
