Bought some new DVDs

Or rather some old ones. Quite a few ones, in fact, mostly travelling vids about places where I was (like Belgium) or where I'm planning to go (like Stockholm). But also some old movies I loved for some reason, although I still haven't succeeded to find a copy of "Ladyhawke"

In any case, I also purchased the old "Andromeda Strain" movie, based on the novel by Michael Chrichton, a book I useed to love. I also used to love the movie, decades ago, when I first saw it.

I was positively surprised that I found the movie every bit as good and exciting as at the firs time.

Oh, Ladyhawke is one of my favourites!!

(I also bought a few DVDs... ;-) The crappy Highlander movie, the 2 Elizabeth movies - havent' yet seen the second one -, Brothers Grimm - haven't seen that either -, and 2 DVDs from the TerraX series - love historical documentaries)

I also broke down and bought the EE of FOTR on DVD. Got a "Geschenkcoupon" from one of my classes, so I only had to pay 490 FT instead of 5490, which is quite a difference, I'd say. FOTR is the only part of the trilogy I actually liked, save from the battle of the wizards and the visuals of Rivendell and Lothlórien. Oh, and the casting. Gandalf (as long as he was grey), Sam, Bilbo and Gollum were OK and Boromir was terrific, but I didn't like how everyone else was cast.
