I won. Go figure
To quote the official e-mail:
Emissary of the Mark received Second Place in Genres: Adventure: Incomplete
The Young Knights received First Place in Races: Men: Gondor
That was... unexpected. So I'd like to thank Raksha the Demon,
phyloxena, StefaniaB,
makamu, Bodkin,
crowdaughter (my dear mad scientist), agape4gondor, obsidianj, Denise, Dreamflower and Elena Tiriel who voted for my stores and gifted wonderful reviews upon me. :)
I'm really more than a little surprised.

I was surprised, honestly. "The Younk Knights" was moderately successful when first posted, but considering how many much more popular authors were nominated, I never thought I'd have a snowball's chance in Hell.

Yeah, surprised, considering how little interest my stuff usually draws.

Sometimes it is, indeed. But to be perfectly honest, I don't write to win the occasional award (not that it wouldn't be a great thing, because it is). I write for people to read and enjoy... and, admittedly, to get some feedback on why they did enjoy..
But, I guess, you can't have everything, right?
