Lost friends

[livejournal.com profile] earonn has deleted her journal. Just like that. No warning, no goodbyes, no nothing. She must have her reasons, but I'm really sad. She was one of the four online acquaintances I've ctually met in person. Now I have one less. :((

:-( Do you still have an email address for her?

Not on this computer. I wrote her through the Edhellond list and am hoping she'll answer, eventually.

I'm sorry, this may be a completely irrelevant idea, but: one of my LJ friends has just deleted her journal in order to help avoid HP spoilers. Is there any chance that this is the same? A lot of people are going on 'media blackout' to avoid getting spoilt before they read it.

And if that isn't what it's about, I'm sorry. I hope that you can get in touch somehow.

I think it happened before that. :/ And I worry that it's personal problems. I just wish I could find out if she's all right.

I hope you can find her, and at least check she's ok. It's very worrying when this happens and you have few if any other ways to contact people.

I sent her a private e-mail. If that doesn't help, I'll try snail mail once I'm back from France. But I'm worried. Snicklepop vanished the same way years ago, as well as Adara, and nothing I tried could re-establish the contact.

I can understand when someone just wants to leave a fandom or whatnot, but having others worried sick is not nice.

All you can do is try. But that doesn't stop the worry, and really people should send an email to say they're going off line and so on and then you at least know!

I'm sorry to hear that. It's very frustrating when someone you know well online decides to pull a vanishing act - and even more so when you've gotten to know them in Real Life as well. You'd think a person could at least put up an explanatory message before taking their journal down for good.

Hmm. I've just sent a private e-mail, as well. I'll let you know if I hear anything. Thanks for the alert.
