My herd is growing

Behold the handsome elephant ladies!

Here is Fanny:

Following her Fleur:

And last but not least Ellie:

Still in the planning are Lola and probably Fluffy, assuming I find the right material for the latter. Then I shall stop with the elephant breeding.

In other news, I finally got hold of the insurance agent lady and made an appointment with her for the annual overseeing of accounts and the likes. That's one concern off my mind. Also, the physiotherapist lady came back after her skiing holiday and agreed with me that Mum's leg, while still not in optimal shape, looks much better than two weeks ago. That's another concern off my mind. I am so relieved I could cry.

Invigorated by these good news, I decided to go to choir practice, after all, even though I won't take part of the gig on February 15. It was good to see the girls again (2/3 of them being my age), and on my way there I visited some shops for household items and cleaning things and bought two small pillowcases, washing powder, shower gel, horse salve, talcum powder and suchlike. It's a good thing that my friend Eenie gave me a lift home from choir practice because my shopping bags weighed about a ton or so.

Tomorrow I'm planning to stay in. I've made tomato soup today, and we still have leftover potato goulash so there will be no need to cook. I'll try to do some small things I've been pushing in front of me for some time and who knows, perhaps even rest a bit.

The elephant herd is lovely ...

Thanks. :) Lola is supposed to be like Ellie (I can't make identical things to save my life), as I have another large piece left of Grandma's favourite gown. But I'm gonna take a beak first. My fingers are protesting, and I haven't baked a thing for over a week, so...

I love them!

Thanks, so do I, to be honest. Giving them away will be hard — but necessary.

Cute. I love the bottom one the best.
Yay choir!

I've already started the similar one. ;)

Your eliump herd is adorable. Are you keeping them for the Christmas fair? It's really good to hear about Mum's leg. Keeping her at least relatively mobile is important for your back and her independence.

Nah, I think I'll gift them upon friends and family with small children. Save for the grey one; Mum has already claimed her, so she'll stay with us for at least some time. I might make smaller ones for the Christmas fair eventually, unless I get some better idea.

Fleur lives up to her name!

Considering that she was made of a threadbare old nightgown she doesn't look half bad, I think.
