Feeling better

The stuff I took last evening and this morning seems to be working. I feel much better. Still a bit ache-y from the aftermath of all those horrible cramps, but I'm back to my normal (moody, whiny) self. I even had appetite today which, compared with the fact that all I ate yesterday was a toasted bun, coffee and water, is serious improvement. No idea what caused the whole thing, but it seems to be mostly over, thank God. A day and a whole night of it were more than enough.

In the morning I felt awake enough to do some crafting, so another accordion card is finished. One more to go; unfortunately, that promises be the most complicated one, decoration-wise. But I'm determined to make it tomorrow.

Other than that, I was mostly recuperating, except that I made Topfenknödel for lunch. I felt tired after my ordeal, but mostly okay, and even had interest in the usual crap telly stuff we watch. Mum is relieved, too; she was seriously worried about me. At her age, she shouldn't worry, that's my job! But we've both calmed down, and she's planning to make breadcrumbs tomorrow. I've cut up the dry buns two days ago, and now they're ready to be grated.

I'm so glad you're feeling better. It must have been awful!

It was — and I haven't got a clue what caused the cramps. Although it might be some bug getting around; my friend Evie told me today (on the phone) that she had a similar problem two days or so ago.

Thanks. I'm utterly relieved, myself.

So am I, believe me. Still not working among the optimal parameters, as Data would say, but better.

Better works.

I am glad for you that your digestive system is moving again — it is so uncomfortable when it isn't working well.

Mum's worry... it is in the life-long job description :)

Our family has been collectively battling this particular problem for at least three generations (on Mum's side), as far as I know. It would have been way too optimistic to hope that I could dodge it. I still remember spending half the night on the loo in summer camp when I was 13 or so...

I'm glad to hear that you're finally feeling better. Try to take it easier for a few days, although I know that's not always possible when you're a carer.

Mum is actually fairly accommodating — for her age.
