Modest progress

Originally, I wanted to do as many of the identical trees in the songbook as possible. But my fingers rebelled. They didn't want to stitch through multiple layers of hard felt and double-sided tape - or Velcro, for that matter - two days in a row. So I made the front cover of the songbook instead, and I must say I'm very content with the results. Pic coming up as soon as I have the right illumination for the iPad mini.

Which leads directly to my next topic. The mini is about 7 or 8 years old, and has served me faithfully during all this time. But its browser is outdated, it refuses to connect to the internet from time to time, and its memory or whatever it is called is almost full. Mum has been nagging me to think of something I'd like for my upcoming birthday (upcoming as in early October), and I'm beginning to consider purchasing a new tablet PC. Another iPad mini, if possible, as similar to the old one as I can get. I'm terrible with technology and the mere thought of getting used a new one makes me panic. Which is why I still work - well, read - on my geriatric laptop, too. Even though it's as slow as molasses after a decade and a half of service. I just hate changes so much!

No more Apple products here, but the ones son had did not change that much concerning operating, and it´s the same with Samsung. 15 years of service? I usually bust my Ashmael, when he´s around half this age!

Must have to do with mutual respect or whatnot. *g*

That's why I always buy Samsung phones or tablets. It's just easier!

Well, the mini is/was my very first tablet, and I got used to it in the last 8 or so years. My Nokia dumbphone (as opposed to a smartphone) is over 15 years, too, and all I can do with it is phoning, sending text messages and setting the alarm. Its memory was full after the 3rd ever photo I made with it. I still dread the day when I'll have to get a new one.

Me too.

A new iPad sounds like a very good gift for you to ask for.

I just hope to get the right one; and to get used to it. Luddites don't have it easy. *sigh*

Changes suck, even if it's the same product there's changes. Can you get a refurbished?

Nah, I only have connection to new ones.

A new iPad sounds like a great idea. Plus nowadays you just have to put it next to your former iPad to set it up. Like magic!

I seriously doubt that I'd manage that alone, but let's hope I'll get help. ;)
