Some progress

I've finished my painting job. The apricot pits will be dried by tomorrow, and then I can pack together the painting utensils and reset the original configuration of our kitchen, to Mum's utter relief.

I also did some sewing today. The cow for Page 5 of both songbooks are finished - well, one of them complete, the other one almost done, I just need to stitch the front and back panels together. It doesn't sound much, but I had to stitch on the cowhide patterns by hand, plus the eyes, the horns, the nose and stuff - it took a lot of time. I'm glad I won't have such problems with the rest of the animals.

In the morning we had strong winds and about three drops of rain. I was getting excited about the possibility of lower temperatures and a chance to finally bake something tomorrow (banana bread was in the planning), but it warmed up quite a bit again by the afternoon. I'm still hoping for tomorrow. I haven't baked anything for so long that I'm starting to show withdrawal symptoms.

Mum had a visit from her physiotherapist, and we watched some crap telly. That was basically our day, as I didn't need to cook today. Any day without the need to cook is a good day.

Three drops of rain- should I send some over?

To my friend Evie, if you don't mind. Her garden could use it — our balcony not so much. ;)

The weather got warmer here as the day went on, but by mid afternoon it started to cloud over, and we even got one good downpour, with a couple of rumbles of thunder. I understand all these weather issues are being caused by the jet stream being wobbly. Maybe if we all climbed a mountain somewhere, and blew very hard, we could straighten it out a bit.
