Dental adventures, take two
Today was my second appointment at the dentist's, meaning that I had to cross the city at high noon - not pleasant by the current temperatures. At least the new crown appears to fit, which is a relief. Another appointment next week, and the whole thing will be finished... hopefully.
Afterwards I went grocery shopping and paid TEDI and Kik a visit... and came out with a much lighter purse. Yes, I know, there was no need to buy that 60cmx40cm piece of extremely cute fabric, but even Mum agreed that it would have been a sin not to buy it. I also bought some small stuff, too: keyrings, pins,lovely stickers and Pompombordüren, whatever they are called in English.
Needless to say that - after having done all this in sweltering heat - I wasn't able to do any writing afterwards... or, in fact, anything that would require higher brain functions. At least I was able to sew a bit while half-asleep in front of the telly, so I'm now the proud creator of two very cute finger puppet foxes. I'll post photos when the corresponding pages are finished.
Fortunately, I didn't have to cook today. We had some leftover soup and I had bought some Danishes (okay, the Hungarian equivalent) for afterwards, and that was enough. We're both fond of unhealthy food. It tastes so much better. *g*
After the finger puppets were done, I took a nap, and now I've hit rock bottom mentally. Whenever I wake up from sleep, no matter how short it was, I'm practically useless for at least an hour. So, I think some Solitaire is in order.
