Working Sunday again

Spent with putting away the laundry, preparing the flat for tomorrow's cleaning frenzy, taking out the garbage, emptying the vacuum cleaner so that it would be ready for tomorrow... and a tiny bit of crafting.

5 of the 12 cupcakes for the counting page of the Christmas-themed quiet book are done. 7 more to go, which means 14 pieces of Velcro and 63 dots to be hand-stitched - I've eschewed the beads because I don't see how could I have sewn on 12 of them on a piece of felt as small as my thumbprint. Granted, I do have a wide thumb, but still.

Anyway, I can't wait to have this particular page out of my hair. TBH, I find working on it increasingly boring, but I don't want to start something else until it is finished. Well... save for the tinfoil bead garlands, but that's something quick and easy and relaxing.

Not much else happened. I've tried to reach three different people on the phone but neither of them deigned to answer it or to call me back. I'm trying not to get pissed off about it.

Sorry that the crafting is a bit boring at the moment ...
Maybe you should do something else after all before you begin to hate it???

I will.... as soon as this particular page is done. I've got this odd thing about unfinished things — they tend to stress me out to no end. I once had a friend who was just the opposite; she got stressed out about finished things because she could no longer improve them. *g*

Velcro? Ugh! And 14 pieces of it!

On the bright side, they are small ones, needing only 2 stitches each, and 10 are already done.
On the other side, they are self-adhesive, so I also have to stitch through the glue layer, which is thick and unpleasant. So yeah, can't wait for the whole thing to be over.

You can get it done!

Your word in God's ear!

Wow! Twelve beads on a thumb print? I totally understand your reluctance to go there.

I don't even think any of my beads would be small enough for the whole pattern not to look absolutely ridiculous!
Of course, now the tiny red dots aren't exactly the same shape, since I'm doing them free hand, but that's still the lesser evil, I believe.
