Social life juchuuuu!

I went to school today to fetch the eggs I've ordered. I carefully timed my arrival for when the kiddies were still in their classrooms and the teachers' room was mostly empty. Still, in the about 30 minutes I was there I met most of my friends - we waved at each other from a safe distance, with doors and windows open and at least some of them wearing masks (including me) - then Monica, our choir conductor, gave me a lift home. So that I didn't have to haul all my groceries plus the eggs onto a crowded bus. Yay!

I worked a bit more on the next chapter of "A Stitch in Time". I think I've done interesting things with RTD's one-dimensional, totally illogical and physically impossible baddies, the 456. World-building is fuuun!

Other than that, I can't present any interesting news. Which is good, I think. I don't mind leading a boring life, as long as it means some semblance of safety. Which is why I avoid the news like the plague. It's not good for my blood pressure, and there's nothing I can change on the grand scale of things anyway.

Two days indoors are before me. I'm actually looking forward to it.

Forgot to add: I've figured out how to save YouTube videos to my playlists, even if they are "For Kids". You can still like them. Then go to your Liked Videos list and add them to the playlist of your choice. Ho! Go me!

Isn't it pathetic that I'm commenting on my own entries now? But, TBH, it is easier than editing the entry itself, and I'm a lazy, lazy person...

I used to prefer the bus to car, at the beginning of the pandemic. But the buses have replaced social distancing with mask wearing and I'm not convinced most people wash their mask after every wearing. So nowadays a car is safer than the bus. Plus, who wouldn't want to avoid the whole...where on earth am I going to put these shopping bags...dilema on a bus?

Very true. Especially as my shopping bags tend to have the size of overfed whales. ;))

Gosh... all I did was clean house and work on my quilt. I hope you have a good next two days.

Well, we'll have to make the next shopping trip a day earlier because the chiropodist is coming on Friday, but otherwise...
I'm planning to give Paul Hollywood's savoury biscuits a try on the weekend, though.

Glad to hear you got a lift, that's convenient.

Indeed it is, especially with all the shopping.

Yay! It can really help your outlook to see people, can't it?

It is nice that the school is close and you can visit your colleagues often, even though all you can do is wave at each other. A side note: The hurricane that was heading toward my state took a more eastward path, so, dodged a bullet - TG.

I'm glad to hear that you've been spared.
