Sewing Day, Round One
Originally, I planned to make some more pillow cases for the ungodly amount of sour cherry stones my friend Elise collected for me. Well, that was what I did... more or less. There was so much necessary preparations and tacking (is that the right word?) to do that poor Louise didn't even get her turn. Oh, well, she'll get her chance on Thursday. Because tomorrow is the day for food runs, plus, if the weather co-operates I'll take Mum out for coffee and a short visit in the Allee shopping centre. Properly masked and all, of course, but she needs to get out of the flat before the second wave of the current insanity hits.
I also tried to reach the clerk in the tax office about a wonderfully incomprehensible letter they sent me. The phone was either busy or they didn't answer it. According to the letter, I have 15 days to react, or they will swallow the money in question... if I understood it correctly. It's a fairly small amount of tax money I would have returned to the health assurance thingy, had I not cancelled my membership in April. If they swallow it, good riddance, but I'd like to hear it in proper Hungarian that that is what they wanted from me. *sigh* Bureaucracy is the spawn of Morgoth!
Mum and I shared kitchen duties today: I made the soup, she roasted the chicken wings and made the parsley potatoes. Yum!

Good luck with the tax thing!

I'm not particularly worried about the tax thing. It's just annoying that they can't phrase things in a language understandable for the average human being.
